I can't believe that anyone else in this country actually recognizes Flag Day. Most people I ask have never heard of it, but it has special significance to me. I grew up in the small ass backwards town where Flag Day was originated by Somebody Cigrand. Every year we had a parade (if you want to call it that) through the whole two town blocks, past the four corner bars, to celebrate. It always seemed like there were a lot of people there. Cars were parked in all 8 lawns in the town.
